Humanitas University Campus - Edifici Accoglienza
Mario Luzzatto Student House

43

To complete the Humanitas University Campus, a new residential complex for students and researchers was built, known as the Mario Luzzatto Student House. The complex consists of two six-story towers connected by a low central building housing the main entrance and shared spaces. The residences, divided into single rooms, double rooms, and studio apartments, provide a total of 240 beds. The lower floors include recreational areas, cultural facilities, study zones, and communal spaces.

The building was designed with particular attention to living comfort and environmental sustainability. The ventilated façade, made of aluminum and fiber cement panels, ensures high thermal and acoustic performance. The bathrooms, built as prefabricated sliding modules, feature optimized MEP systems to facilitate maintenance operations. The energy system is entirely gas-free, relying on heat pumps, controlled mechanical ventilation, and photovoltaic installations.
