Milano 3.0
Next Generation Living

Milano 3.0, located in the municipality of Basiglio (Milan), is a new residential development consisting of six buildings and 260 apartments, all classified in energy class A4. Designed by Alfonso Femia / Atelier(s), the project represents an evolution of the original Milano 3 urban model, reinterpreting the concept of the garden city to meet the needs of contemporary living.

The development is organized around a central green courtyard — a protected, communal space that connects the private dimension of the dwellings with the collective experience of shared areas. The urban layout, guided by principles of environmental balance and design responsibility, integrates the built environment with the surrounding landscape through pedestrian pathways and green areas distributed throughout the site. A circular pedestrian and cycle path surrounds the complex and connects it to the provincial cycling network.

The façades are clad in custom-designed diamond-shaped ceramic elements, which create a shimmering three-dimensional effect and recall the historical color palette of Milano 3. The architectural composition alternates terraces, loggias, glazed bow windows, and layered green planes, defining a varied and contemporary skyline.

All apartments are designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, thanks to the adoption of high-efficiency systems such as geothermal energy, photovoltaic panels, advanced home automation, and air quality monitoring devices. Special attention has been devoted to water efficiency, with low-consumption fixtures and automatic leak detection systems.

The project also includes a range of exclusive amenities for residents: a concierge service, delivery locker room, lakeside co-working area, indoor and outdoor gym, children’s play areas, communal activity spaces, and dedicated rooms for bicycles and strollers.
