The new industrial complex, initially developed by Intertaba S.p.A. and later renamed Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A. to align with the Philip Morris brand, occupies a 330,000 sqm site within the Martignone industrial hub. The project, carried out in multiple phases, represents an advanced production center for innovative materials, characterized by high technical complexity and a modular planning strategy designed to allow progressive expansion within a single functional area.

Lot 1 involved the new construction of production buildings, support facilities (offices and laboratories), mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations, inter-building connections, reinforced concrete underground stormwater tanks, and external works, including roads, parking areas, and utility networks. The structures are primarily built with steel framing and insulated metal panel cladding.

The subsequent expansion phases included the construction of additional production buildings and support structures, fully integrated within the overall site layout and consistent with the architectural and technological solutions adopted in the initial phase. Each phase also encompassed MEP works, interconnections, tanks, and external landscaping, maintaining the same standards of quality, efficiency, and design coherence.
