The new SKY Italia headquarters is located in the Santa Giulia district of Milan. Developed in multiple phases, the project involved the construction of a tertiary complex of approximately 130,000 sqm, articulated into three main buildings arranged in a radial layout and connected by a shared underground podium.
The two basement levels house parking areas, plant rooms, and storage spaces serving the entire complex. The buildings are differentiated by function and spatial configuration: the southern building accommodates double-height television studios on the ground floor, complete with dedicated control rooms, while the upper floors host offices and production-related technical spaces.
A connecting block serves as a central hub, integrating the reception area as well as fitness and recreational facilities. The second building extends in continuity with the first, while the third building is accessed via a multi-story suspended bridge spanning 32 meters across the roadway.
All buildings are constructed with multi-story prefabricated reinforced concrete structures, founded on a watertight white tank system. The façades, predominantly glazed, are of the unitized curtain wall type, combined with metal composite panels (Alucobond type) to create a coherent contemporary architectural identity. The project also included the complete installation of mechanical, electrical, and special systems, along with all civil works and interior and exterior finishes.
Building 3 achieved LEED Gold environmental certification.
