Located in the heart of Milan, on Via Vittor Pisani, the VP22 Office Complex – The Hidden Woods sets a new benchmark for contemporary workplace design, combining energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and architectural quality. Situated in a strategic position between Piazza della Repubblica and Milano Centrale Station, the development integrates harmoniously into the existing urban fabric, maintaining continuity with the historic portico along the boulevard.
Designed for office use, the building comprises eleven above-ground floors and three underground levels, with a total surface area of approximately 18,000 sqm. The project involved demolition and reconstruction, adopting hybrid steel–concrete structures, precast prestressed concrete slabs, and cast-in-place concrete components.
A key architectural feature is the high-performance UHPC (Ultra-High-Performance Concrete) façade, equipped with integrated solar shading systems and a double glass skin on the upper floors. This solution ensures maximum energy efficiency and high indoor comfort standards. The building is certified LEED Platinum and WELL Silver.
At the heart of the project lies the concept of well-being: the ground floor and internal courtyards host an 800 m² landscaped garden with tall trees, which extends visually to the 600 m² panoramic terrace at the top level. The workspaces have been designed for flexibility and modularity, featuring raised floors, acoustic suspended ceilings, and variable-air-volume systems, ensuring comfort and easy reconfiguration.
The development is completed by a 220-seat auditorium and a café overlooking the internal garden, spaces conceived to promote social interaction and collaboration among users, in line with the most advanced contemporary workplace models.
